The Junior Maths Show is a live stage performance like no other.

The Junior Maths Show consists of short sketches and games that combine maths history, magic, puzzles and more. The show is highly interactive, with plenty of student participation and movement.

For example some sketches contain ‘maths magic’, where students will be amazed by the power of numbers to read minds, guess birthdays and ages, and reveal the secrets of hidden dice.

Other sketches involve number based clapping games, making geometric shapes with your body, maths dances, dice based maths poses, and more.

The games are designed to have students moving and having fun while maintaining strong maths themes and learning opportunities.

All of this is combined with maths storytelling and maths history from Ancient Babylon, Ancient Greece, Asia  and Europe to help students see mathematics from a broader human perspective.

The Junior Maths Show is a wonderfully fun maths activity that is perfect for a Maths Day activity, a Maths Week activity or as a unique maths incursion at any time of the year.

The Nitty Gritty:

The Junior Maths Show is presented in-house at your school.

The production runs for approximately 40 minutes.

An ideal size audience is 60 – 80 students, but the production can be delivered to smaller groups, or to up to 150 students in an appropriate venue.

We prefer to preload our AV items onto your system, and you will need to provide a screen for them to be projected upon. A microphone may be required for larger venues.

As the performance incorporates a lot of movement by students we prefer to work with the students seated on the floor rather than in chairs.
