Paws B (Mindfulness for Primary Students) is one of the world’s leading mindfulness programs designed specifically for 7 – 11 year old students. Brad Felstead, the founder and director of Felstead Education, recently travelled to an international training program to complete his accreditation as a certified Paws B trainer.

The program is a classroom introduction to mindfulness. At the most basic level, Paws b is an awareness raising exercise that gives 7 – 11 year olds a taste of mindfulness, so that they know what it is, and can thus return to it later in life, learning more about it when it is useful to them. Research has shown that regular practice of mindfulness exercises can help even young students reduce levels of worry, boost self-awareness and self-regulation, and also help them to better focus and concentrate in class.
